Alternative Provision at Flourish – Leading the Way

Welcome to Flourish Alternative Provision, where we are redefining what AP can be. We provide a focused, structured, and nurturing environment designed to put what’s best for your child at the heart of everything we do. Our provision is tailored to meet the diverse needs of students who thrive outside the traditional classroom, offering a unique blend of tutoring, alternative provision, and wellbeing support to help them re-engage with learning, build confidence, and rediscover their love of education.

At Flourish, we believe in doing things differently. Our bespoke educational and wellbeing programmes combine individualised academic support, therapeutic interventions, and practical, hands-on experiences. We create a calm, welcoming, and positive environment where students can feel safe to be themselves, embrace challenges, and focus on learning and personal growth.

Our AP is designed to support students experiencing challenges such as Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), heightened anxiety, or low confidence. While our provision is selective to maintain a structured and supportive environment, we are fully inclusive, empowering students to thrive academically and personally. This approach ensures students can develop resilience, self-belief, and a love of learning in a happy, safe, and supportive space.

We are passionate about rebuilding the narrative for students who haven’t thrived in mainstream education, showing them that there is nothing “wrong” with them. We help students understand that all learning styles and neurodiversities are valid, and we truly believe it is often the environment, not the student, that isn’t right. Our mission is to empower young people with the tools, confidence, and mindset to succeed in a space that is both structured and innovative, nurturing both academic achievement and personal growth.

At Flourish, we are committed to breaking the mold, creating a new vision for education and wellbeing that embraces creativity, nurtures potential, and adapts to the evolving needs of every learner. We provide students with opportunities to flourish, feel valued, and achieve their full potential in a safe, structured, and inspiring environment.

Learning at Flourish

Helping ESBA Students to Flourish

Flourish provides an educational curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students at KS3 and KS4, closely aligned with the National Curriculum strands. This ensures that all key subject requirements are covered, while maintaining the flexibility to adapt content for individual learning needs. The program allows for a personalised approach, catering to varying abilities and interests, and supports differentiated instruction to engage students effectively. Flourish’s curriculum framework offers educators the tools to tailor learning experiences, ensuring that every student can progress and succeed at their own pace while still achieving core educational goals.

Flourish is passionate about providing innovative, creative, and effective well-being support for students in alternative education settings. We believe that every student has the potential to thrive when given the right tools and opportunities. By nurturing creativity, resilience, and a positive mindset, we help students reclaim their sense of self and prepare them for a brighter future.
